An exploration in texture.

Of The Field has been an idea wrapped up in the smallest corner of my brain since 2013 when I was living in Lima, Peru. During this time, I worked at a production facility with a group of women who were training to become knitters and sewers of clothing and apparel. I became fascinated with fibers, textiles, and really the idea of anything handmade. Every opportunity that I’ve had to travel abroad has left me fascinated by what people are capable of creating with their hands.

Fast-forward to 2020 when life as we all knew it caved in, and we all found ourselves at home, with nothing but time and the idea that home was more important than ever. I hope you’re able to find handmade rugs (and more home goods hopefully soon!) that help make your home feel complete. For now, this small online rug shop is a slice of my happy place, and I’m so overjoyed that I get to share so many beautiful handmade pieces with you all!
